I have hooked up several car stereo's and a single amp, but how do you hookup multiple amps for more kick?

i think you'd just want to buy a bigger amp... maybe you can bridge the two amps together? but i'm not completely sure

I have two amps hooked up..one for my highs and one for my subs..you can see a pic of them in my photo gallery..I think the guy who installed mine used  power blocks and ran the wire from that to each amp...Is that what you mean by hooking up two amps or did you mean one amp on each sub?

Mine was done professionally....my 12's are mounted on the front of the enclosure firing right into the cab of the car...there is a big port for each sub that runs in between the 2 subs as well so it can breath...my enclosure takes up the whole hatch of my car....sorry I don't have any pics of the front yet....here's what my system consists of:

2 Earthquake Magma 12 inch subs, 6 1/2 inch Earthquake mids in the doors, 3 1/2 inch tweeters w/crossovers in the dash, Earthquake 6x9's in rear,  Pioneer 6600 head unit with screen savers, Earthquake DHC 200 digital amp for subs, Earthquake 4 channel amp for highs, Audio Control line driver in console, American Eagle capacitor, Stinger dry cell battery in trunk, Stinger fans to cool amps, Pro Power 210 amp alternator, Stinger alternator relay under the hood, all Stinger wiring and RCA's, custom vented and ported enclosure made from 3/4 inch MDF covered in black and silver carbon fiber vinyl.

Altogether, I have almost $5000 into my stereo system but I'm into big sound not just big bass although my system will hit in the 152 db range easily (last time it was metered anyway) with the gains on the sub amp turned only 1/4 of the way up...so when I get a few more adjustments made I can turn the gains up more and get more out of it.

if your amps have have rca inputs and outputs then you can bridge the powers together and find a common ground and then run an rca out of an amp  and into the other thats hoe i did mine and it works great

Okay, are you hooking up subs or rears? Im confused. Well, the way I had it set up in my sentra was (like 97mitsu said) the 2 amps were connected with the rca jacks, from the output of my 1200w XPLOD to the input of my 760w XPLOD (small i kno, but it was all free ) I had a 1600w SCOSCHE cap running power to each of them (which wasnt good running 1960w on a 1600w cap, I didnt do the job) now the 760 was hooked up to the rear speakers while the 1200 was hooked to the two 12" KICKER COMPETITION subs. I would imagine that bridging them with the rca jacks, I could have used one for the left sub and one for the right sub, but I only used one amp when I redid the system for my camry. That should be right for the subs and I would imagine you can do the same with the regular speakers. Did I miss anything?
