ummmmmmm i have a 2001 mitsubishi eclipse 2.4l  4cylinder 5 speed manual and it has full power locks and all that jazz, the problem is that when it rains something is getting wet and making my doors unlock by themselves .... im not sure what it could be but once the car is dry it doesnt happen anymore...It will also do it when i wash my car..Can someone help me

hello! if your car has factory power doorlocks it sounds like to me that water is somehow getting into the doorlock actuator that is inside the door. you need to pull off both door panels and not only inspect the actuators themselves, but also look for any damaged wiring that water could get into and look at the connector and make sure it isnt damaged and letting water in. water is a very good conductor and can create strange electrical problems. shouldnt be hard to find. keep us posted!!    greg...

Hey thanks for the post I will look into that...Its just a matter of doing it now lol ... ill probably post back friday or sat unless i get more time in between now and then

actually, it's the salt or iron in the water that causes it to conduct electricity. H20 is non conductive by itself :D
