i posted a while ago about my car sort of stalling when im in 1st-3rd until i get up to about 3k rpms, i replaced my spark plugs which fixd the problem for a day or so and now it started again so if anyone has any suggestions thatd be great.

also, every so often either when im turning or even when im going straight sometimes it makes a bonking sound like im running something over, my auto shop teacher checked out my ball joints and looked around at my front tires and stuff and couldnt find anything so any suggestions about that would be greatly appreciated

Spark plug wires I think. What did you change them to?

What car is this?

what do the spark plugs and wires look like? also look at the coils. if you bought that crappy Bosch or however you spell it....they suck, go with NGK wires and plug.....the regular OEM ones! if you havnt.

Changing the wires is easier than wiping your ass. Just do one at a time so you don't mess up the firing order. It's fool proof.

yea, you really can't mess that procedure up.   also while ur swapping out ur plug wires (OEM are about 30-35 bucks i think.   NGK, MSD etc performance wires are closer to 50 or 60).  check the prongs on the distributor.  if there is any rust or corrosion, you will need to either get a wirebrush and scrape all that crap off or get a new one (30-40 bucks).

"when i'm turning or even sometimes when i'm going straight it makes a bonking sound"   ... it's kinda hard to diagnose a problem with that kind of description.

the ball joints or probably something that your teacher already looked at would have been my suggestion. Do you feel anything in the wheel when its doing it such as a vibration. Also is it only when you turn one way

I'll try to give the best description I can. It sounds like im either hitting something metal or something fell from underneith my car onto the ground and it makes a weird sort of bonking noise, it seems to only do it when i'm turning left, and sometimes when I'm going straight, I haven't noticed it yet when I'm turning right. Oh, and no, I feel nothing in the steering wheel when this happens.
