are there any out there besides the Weapon R intakes?  I'd rather not rice up my wife's ride...those intakes look horrid.

I am looking for a simple one, but am not finding anything so far.

I may just do that if there's no other options out there.  I just wanted to dress the engine bay up a little...plus I hate stock airboxes.

As far as I know, there is nothing out there, but I'd imagine it wouldnt be too hard to custom bend some pipes and hide a filter in the fender area, theres plenty of room there and its away from the engine. Take it to a custom shop and ask for an estimate.

.......buy a drop-in filter from WORKS or greenfilter for the 2008 Lancer.

both are high flow and "serviceable".  added benefit is you are not moving any factory parts around (MAF sensor). so if any warranty issues arrise ,  the engine bay looks stock.
