I posted this before but I couldn't find it again...weird. Anyways, today this problem got worse. When I shift out of 2nd gear into 3rd-5th gear, it rides my clutch, or at least thats what it sounds like (the sound of the gas and clutch being pushed at the same time). I'm not a mechanic or highly knowledge on cars but can this be a transmission problem? or is it something that was said last time I posted it such as the Throttle body. When im in those gears I have to accelerate slow and it seems like it stops but when I floor it my rpms shoot up real fast and it accelerates slowly.

I haven't changed my timing belt or done my 70k service (tune up). I've just kept up my oil changes and check all my fluids every week. Just thought I'd throw that out there maybe it can be a timing belt problem.

Just curious what are the signs of a transmission going out?

What you're saying is nowhere near clear, but if my eyes are reading as well as they can, i'd say your clutch is slipping. The timing belt would have nothing to do with it. And if i were you i'd do the 60k maintenance yesterday. You'll regret it if you wait any longer.

if it is my clutch would I be able to get a perfomance clutch such as an act 2100 without any problems? Although im not making nothing but stock power I plan to later. I'll check out how much my 60k will cost tomorrow.

P.s. I edited my post, sorry I was multi tasking and didnt read it over. I always hate when people write like that to! haha.

Well, i wouldn't go with anything too aggresive if it's not modded. You'll also need to factor in a flywheel resurface with the clutch job.

how long has it been doing it? my GST did it when i first bought it and couldnt figure it out for a couple monthes and turned out that my clutch wasnt hitting a fluid return valve in the clutch booster and it cause me to build up pressure in the lines so it would keep pressure on the clutch burning it up.

i dont know if thats what your car is doing, but maybe if your car starts off driving fine with no slippage and a few minutes later its slipping....thats something you might want to look into.

It started 2 days ago. Just curious what would happen if I put an act 2100 on it...I think that supports 250-350hp
