I was on This Site And I was Looking Around For A New Transmission and know that the Eclipse Transmission Is Better than the Galant so what i want to know if i can put 1 of these Transmission...

hello! i am assuming that your galant is a 1996. if thats correct, you could use the eclipse trans that says 2.4. the 2.0 litre turbo trans wont fit. bolt pattern is different. the 2.0 litre regular trans wont work because the 1996 eclipse came with a chrysler 420a engine and chrysler trans. different bolt pattern and electronics. the 1996 eclipse spyder came with a mitsubishi 2.4 litre engine and trans. that trans will work. one thing i do have to tell you is that mitsubishi used the same trans in the galant as well as the eclipse spyder. so i'm not sure why you think the eclipse trans is better, but they are one in the same. before i would buy a used trans online for 1600.00 i would call your closest mitsubishi dealer and ask about the reman trans they offer. you can pick one up for about 2000.00. and it comes with a warranty. spend the extra 400 and get a quality product rather than a used one with no warranty and who knows how many miles. good luck!! greg...
