Painting Door Molding - 3/7/2008 5:48:46 AM    tx.mitsu Posts: 12 Joined: 2/26/2008 Status: offline Just received my door molding in the mail, but the color is a silver/gray. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look very good against my black paint. I was hoping it would be darker like the other body plastics. Anyway, I’m considering painting the trim myself. I see Bondo makes a bumper paint in black. Any suggestions, warnings, etc... _____________________________ Texas! Go to a body shop and have them run your paint code and get the correct paint. Now the paint wont match 100% since its a different batch and not all places use the same paint primer and clear coat but it should be almost perfect. They look good, but I hate they way they look on the car. The orginial gray silver color they come in does not match anything on the car, so painting is a must.
