My car came with a few pages missing from my owners manual--I need to do an oil/filter change but my "capacities" page is missing.
How many qts. for an oil/filter change?

Thanks

Around 5 quarts. Buy six. One for topping up.

You can get an owners manual from the Mitsu website.

My 2004 with the 3.8 L engine takes 4.5 quarts with oil filter change inluded (about 4.2 without the filter change).

The manual will only state the engine oil capacity. You should depend on the dipstick to know when your engine is topped off. How much oil it takes to top off after an oil change can vary and completely depends on how much you actually drain from the pan. Oil temp, vehicle angle, and the amount of time you let it drain can play are role in that.
