I'll say yes, because if you start the outtie with the anti theft in tact (even with remote start) and no key is sensed, it will disable the engine. bypass will temoprarily disable this feature.

hope that made sense, no sleep in two days and counting

That's what I'm thinking too. I know one member had a remote start installed. I wonder if anyone has tried it the bypass.

i do not believe there is a chip that has to be in the ignition to get the car to start, infact i even had a blank key made from some cheap shop and never though twice if it would work or not.

my duplicate key doesn't have the chip. If I use it to start the car, it would start for a few seconds then shut-off. Did you have a remote start installed? Any tips for me?????

Im thinking you'll need that by pass. I know if you do install the auto start, the engine will turn off if you try to drive it without the key in the ignition anyway.

so, auto start + by pass, then when you get in car, insert key and you can drive.

LOL I think Im gonna try this after i get my wheels/tires

but yea, if all else fails, try to contact your dealer or a reputable alarm shop.

I didn't need an extra key for my auto start. I know my friend needed an extra key with the chip for his remote start.
