My husband just put in an after market stereo in my 04 Endeavor (base model) yesterday. We removed the original unit b/c the wire harness wasn't going to give us enough slack. Instead of cutting the face plate, we placed the new unit in the empty compartment at the bottom. It doesn't look bad at all and everything seems to be working well. See photo.

We were leaving to go out for dinner and noticed the SRS light is staying on. I read in other threads that there is a SRS wire? If so, does anyone know where its located, what color it is? How do we fix the SRS light? I really don't want to take it to the dealership. They're charge way to much.

Had this happen to me once.  If you have an OBD II scanner, scan it and reset the code and it should make your problem disappear otherwise you'll have to go to the dealer and pay out of your pocket.
