Tmann26 -> Light Problems (3/22/2008 11:52:52 AM)

Hiyas, I recently bought some projector lights for my 3g, and last night, my low beams just stopped working.  I find it odd that they'd both crap out at the same time, checked the fuses, and moved relay's around, but everything seems to be in order.  Light bulbs are in great shape, any ideas where I should go fromt here?

Okay, problem solved, BOTH light bulbs burned out at the same time, however, they were craked and burned-out at the base of the lights, not the main filament.  Wierd, now I'm left wondering wtf, what would cause both lights to burn out at the same time?  Also, after moving relay's around, my horn honks when I lock the doors, rofl.  I hate electrical stuffs, it always confuses me.

Dude I'm having kind of the same issue with my friends 2000 eclipse gs.  I'll copy and paste my message that I put in the general chat section below.  If you figure anything out as to the cause, could you let me know?  I think her lights are just standard though.

I've been chasing a head light issue on my friend's 2000 Eclipse for a little while now.  When you switch on the head lights, they do not illuminate.  They do come on every now and again for only a few seconds though and cut right back off. like one out of every one hundred tries.  The high beams work perfect all of the time though, so no issues with them.  I've slaved in a new dimmer switch on the column, but it did not fix the problem.  Next I slaved in a different combonation switch (the whole column switch and board behind the steering wheel) thinking the circuit board on the one installed was bad, still did not fix the issue.  I checked the fuses and they seem fine.  I've checked the relay by swaping it with the high beam and parking light relays still did not fix it.  I cleaned all of the grounds I could find.  I think they share a common ground with the high beams though.  It seems that there is no power getting to the relay because i cannot hear it click when I turn the switch on, even during the swaping of the relays.  The original relay that was in the low beam position works in both the high beam and parking light slots, so I know the relay is fine.  I'm puzzled as to why they still do seem to work once in a blue moon though and cut right back off.  Sounds like a grounding or resistance issue, but it's beating me up.  Just looking to see if some one out there may be able to help me out with some advice.  Any and all input on this is greatly appreciated!!!
