What do I need to know or to do in order to have access to the Part Number of the Mitsubishi on line data base in the USA? Some manufacturers (e.g. KIA) allow access to the p/n database (e.g. p/n, TSB, etc) after registration with the VIN number of the vehicle. Sometimes it is also required to register with a Mitsubishi dealer. Does someone know or have tried something similar or related? For example I am interested in the following genuine part numbers for my XLS 2008 Outlander: Engine oil filter,Engine Air filter,Air purifier filter (A/C),Engine oil plug gasket,Front brake pad kit,Rear brake pad kit,Front screen wipers,Rear screen wipers,Spare wheel jack,Red rally touch paint,Platinum/Iridium spark plug,Case Tranfer (4WD) oil plug gasket,Differential oil plug gasket,ATM case oil plug gasket,Timing belt,Fan, A/C, etc belt,Fuild (petrol) filter,Front and rear calliper kits, etc, etc. When parts are asked from a Mitsubishi Part Department, the staff has access to diagrams that pinpoint pertinent parts which could be in stock or not. Sometimes the staff want to have a quick sale instead or order it and sometimes give you similar parts from another vehicle model that may fir or fit partially. So I think it is important to check if you get the proper part. Also if you have the part number you could ask that part using the telephone if you are far away of populated areas and so on.
