FireDoc, I would also try NAPA, it's amazing how much stuff they carry, especially in AK. The shipping should also be better. The reason I use the dealer here for some stuff is that I can get jobber price. Also local parts stores here don't seem to have much for special Montero parts. If you need more help on the job email me, I'm not the expert but I've done it a few times.

In researching on how to properly bleed ABS brake systems (for my Ford Ranger), I revisited my factory manual as some 92 Monteros (not mine) came equiped with ABS. When going through the instructions I came across an item I never considered before. Both the ABS and Non-ABS systems (at least for 92) have a Load Sensing Proportioning Valve (LSPV). It is mounted on the frame under the car about 3/4 to the rear of the vehicle. It has a spring attached and will of course have the brake lines going into it. There is no functional explanation but in seems to regulate and balance the pressure between front and rear brakes by using vehicle inertia and the attached spring. The LSPV is also included in the brake bleed instructions. Order of bleed sequence, RR, LR, LSPV, RF, LF. Lesson for me, although it doesn't seemed to have hurt, is always read the manual completely first. There is also a test procedure for the LSPV but you need two pressure gauges to test. I think if you were getting uneven brake wear for fronts and rears the LSPV might be the problem. The only adjustment is the spring length. FYI
