Sigh, the swap question again. Do you know the engine code for the Lancer? Assuming that since you said "Lancer" and "1998" (and considering the US market didn't get the Lancer until later) you plan on importing the motor. 1998 would have been either an Evo V or VI that the motor is being sourced from. So the answer is a big fat NO. The JDM Lancer and USDM Mirage used a slightly different chasis, so the motor and tranny mounts are different. It is possible to do the swap, it's been done many times before, it just takes some enginuity and know how, and since you apparently don't have the ability to google the numbers for a motor, I'm going to assume you lack the later. The Lancer Evolution has always used the 4g63t up until the X was released, now using the 4b11 I believe. The Evo's have always been AWD, which would pose another problem, since you'd have to get more than just the motor. You'll need the transmission, axles, front and rear differentials, transfer case, drive shaft, ECU and wiring, and a whole slew of other goodies.

That all said, expect to pay no less than $10,000 for everything you need after the installation.
