Hey all-

I have a 2001 GT 5 speed. At first I could pump the clutch till it would start, however now I can pump all day and night to no avail. Thought it was the Clutch Interlock, replaced that, still nothing. I turn the key and I can hear a click in the engine compartment, however I have not had a chance to isolate the clicking to one thing. Any ideas????????

I push started it one night shortly after it had started having problems if that helps........ Radio, dash and inside lights come on so im not sure its a bad connection or the batt.

I'm willing to try almost anything at this point

Thanks

Starter.

If you want to get the car started, flick your wrist, turning the key to the on position and off really quickly, making it click really fast. Eventually the starter will become unstuck and it should turn over.

You need to get it replaced.

Found the starter(damn it was hard to get to, without getting under it i never would have gotten to it)......gave it a few good smacks with the hammer..... still nothing.... took apart the connections, wiped em down, put em back and still nothing. Running out of ideas. Can you think of anything else it could be?
