I put a cold air intake on my Eclipse gs and the check engine light came on? Has anyone else experienced this if so what can you do about it?

Have you checked to make sure you hooked everything up correctly? Did you plug the sensor back into the intake pipe?

Yep like what 4gd said make sure everything is hooked up right and plugged in and no vacuum lines left disconnected.

Did you get the car scanned?

It is more than likely a misfire code. That code is actually pretty comon when you alter airflow without a fuel computer to tune it.

Reset the ECU by removing the battery for 20 seconds with the keys in the ignition.

If you removed the stock air box and replaced it with a cone filter...there''''s your issue.  Your intake is now sucking up all the heat that your motor makes and is causing the CEL.  It''''s nothing you did wrong.
It''s best to get a K&N replacement filter and hacking the original tubing that goes into the fender to open it up.
