Intersting news on the Chevy Luv front, we are currently trying to put together a road trip from Washington to Woodburn, Oregon to try to get the Luv on the show Pinks All Out the 4th of July weekend. As of now it appears that it is a go. After running the 9.63 my buddy with the Luv has an uncle in something like South Carolina or something that he has designed heads, worked for Petty Enterprises, he's worked for someone on the main drag racing circuit, etc... and has told my bud to change his rear from 5.13's to around 5.88's and a couple other things that should get his 60' time into the 1.2's and quarter times to possibly around 9 flat to low 9's running the big block through the traps at around 7500 rpm, and moving the shift points to around that too. You guys may be use to that kind of shifting with your blocks but throwing around 565 cubes is a lot of metal. But the uncle said with the cam that is in now and the compression that we haven't really got into the power range yet and that it should run maybe a lot higher than that, if we didn't care how long the block lasts. We will run what he's got now at Woodburn and stay in the mid 9's for now for reasons to long to explain, but hopefully later this year before the season changes he'll make the changes. A parachute is probably going to be the next add on. Yes, I'll try to take video at Woodburn.
