Has anyone ever tried getting a turbo from a evo IX and putting it on an Eclipse 06 GS (obviously change headers, exhaust etc.). if I'm not mistaken they are the same engine aren't they? and would it be possible?

you can BUT the only way to do it is you need to get longer bolts on the exhaust manifold to the head and also a few spacers there to space the turbo away, otherwise you end up with clearance issues with the turbo. It is entirely possible to do but it takes that bit of fenagaling. Emonz57 on here had it bolted up to his 3g but wasnt able to finish the project and ended up selling it. But to my knowledge is was one of the first to ever have that turbo test fitted in.

John 06 is not a 3G that is a 4g.  the entire thing will be different im sure.  So you may or may not need to space out ect ect.

There are alot of people that have TC'd the 5sfe. Because thats the same motor that comes in the NT MR2. However its pretty much like the 420a, you cant run much boost
