the light over my speedometer is out but that is the only one out. i checked and replaced all the fuses. under the hood and under the driver side.

what else could it be.

oh and plus when i changed the fuses today alot of fuses were in the wrong spot. like there were 25s where there was supposed to be 10s  is that a bad thing?

Yeah fuses with numbers are there for a reason... theyre designed that way so that if youre getting more than amp current it blows and cuts the circuit... and if you placea a 25 youre giving it 15 amp range there which the circuitry might not take.... about the speedometer... what car is it? you might have to take it out and check on the bulbs

its a 96 talon esi.

on the diagram for the fuse box it says there should be for example a 15 in a spot and i checked that spot and there was a 25 there. why would that be?

Sounds like you have a bulb burnt out, pull the cluster out and replace the bulb(s).

It could be that the light bulb has just burned out. You could easily take out the dashboard and change it.

I used to change my dashboard lights every day almost, each day a different color, but then I got bored.......lol

haha yeah... for the light bulb itself just pull the tach out and replace the bulb on the back you think may be blown....

As for the fuses.... i dunno about that... i dont have access to your fusebox... previous owner maybe?

Yea, Im guessing the previous owner screwed up. I saw the same thing with my sister's maxima, I kept on replacing a 20 everyday and finally checking only to find it was supposed to be a 7.5... i was pissed. So yea, just echoing, most likely the bulbs and definitely fix the proper fuses.
