hey
so right now i dont have enough fuel to run 20 lbs of boost so im looking into injectors and a fuel rail. what your your suggest for the best price that can support between 500-600whp? thanks

first of all if your on the stock turbo you do have more than enough fuel.  The weakest component is the pump not the rail and injectors.  So your issue is most likely your tune.  I was running 22 PSI on the stock fuel and turbo BUT the stock fuel cut was still there and would hit all the time so you need a flash to remove stock fuel cut out then youll be good to go.

To get 600HP youll need at least 880cc's  a intake 255lph pump (maybe two)  the fuel rail you can go with AMS or something.

ok well i have a walbro 255 pump i havent put it in yet because i dont have a lift so i need to take it to a shop. I have an intake, turboback exhaust, boost controller, and going to get my pump put in so do you think it is time for a reflash? also maybe that will cure my boost problem that i posted about a month ago where my boost doesnt stick at what i set it at, it will hit 21 and then go back down to 10psi and repeat that.

First of all you dont need a lift to do a fuel pump.  Its like a 10 min install literally.  With your mods your DEF IN NEED of a tune.  Evo8s NEED a fuel pump asap too the stocker is bad.

To install your fuel pump all you need to do is pull the bottom of the back seat off and there is a spot on each side with screws I think the left side of the seat is the one with the pump in it you pull it out and swap in the new one.  the hardest part is  to pull the housing of the pump out and putting it back in because it is a tight fit

ok so ill try and get a tune. a reflash if like 500 bucks and what is an expensive shop charge a shop i no of is 60 buck an hour

EVO4L -> RE: fueling (4/23/2008 7:36:44 AM)

take that back 80 bucks an hour. how much is a reflash and tune usually?

EMonz57 -> RE: fueling (4/23/2008 3:25:57 PM)

$500 most of the time for a dyno flash,  $300 or so for a mail in flash some are more most are around the same.
