Has anyone spoken with the dealership about this problem? I spoke to the corporate office and was told they had no other instances of this issue. But I am convinced this is a mfg. defect. I will post pictures of mine shortly.

I spoke to the dealer originally, but it was before i knew it was widespread.  Once we get more posts/pics i will go back again and start something up.

I thought they did it accidentally at the dealership before i picked the car up new.  They told me to shove it and that i should have looked the car over better when i picked it up!  O well.

We need more people to post their pictures of the dent/crease.

I have posted mine, and my mom just posted hers.  If you take a pic of yours, just email it to me and I will host and post it for you!  LsRamAir@yahoo.com

THANKS!!!

I will send mine to you and have you post them. I think if we have just a small sample of outlander owners on here and there are at least 5 there must be a manufacturing defect.

Update on the dents

I was at the dealersip today about my radio loosing AM tuning (new radio on the way). I also asked them about the hoods dents. Of corse they had never seen them before. While waiting on my car to be washed and returned. I took a look at the new cars on the lot to check out the other outties for the same issue. I found three (3) 2008s right next to each other with the exact same issue. I pointed it out to both the sales dude following me around and my service rep.

The service rep descibed the problem as warping and agreed to fix the problem on my next trip in when the radio is replaced (we will see).

If you need a refernce, the delaersip is Lewisville Mitsubishi in Lewisville Texas (great service center). Noel was my service rep.

I will update once the repairs are complete.
