Just popped mine back into place by following tx.mitsu's technique, thanks for the tips.

Yeah mine too. Didn't notice untill windscreen chip repair guy pointed it out. I will try to pop it back a sper tx.mitsu too. Thanks

Mine is like that too. I pointed it out to the dealer and we went on the lot to check out the other Outlanders and they were all like that (08 models).
I noticed it from the very begining but I only thought, oh ... well ..., a fit and finish problem.
I'll try the fix when I'll get a chance.

Did you take out the plastic clips that hold the black trim piece in place?

I just looked at mine and it appears to be like QwikEVO's, but it appears to be normal.  The clip on the driver side hooks under the metal on the quarter panel and on the passenger side it sits a little bit higher and not hooked.  Neither side looks to be a secure clip point, but appear to be more of a back-up to the other clips.

There doesn't seem to be a way to make it stick clip under there and if you pull down and forward as suggested you expose a gap at the bottom of my windshield, which definitely doesn't seem right.

Could anyone who has fixed this snap a pic and post it.  Much appreciated.
