Hey all, checking back in as I'm finally getting around to buying a hitch.  Looking back through the posts, I think I'm going to go with the hidden hitch - although they all don't look too much different to my eye (I do like the wiring mount on the hidden hitch though).

Just wanted to be sure I got the right reciever rise to clear the bumper.
Sounds like fisherman has the curt hitch with a 4" rise on a 8-1/8" long reciever just clearing, but I'm not sure with the hidden hitch.

Antlip, you have a picture of yours with plenty of clearance.  Since you bought from etrailer... is that their 11"x4"rise version?  The 4"ers seem to be 8-1/8" or 11" (extra long).  If that's the 11", it almost looks like you could get away with the 8-1/8"... What do you think - is there 2-7/8" extra clearance there?

Oh also, with the hidden hitch - is a 12" cable extention all you really need (not 15" or something?).  They have one for $3.50 I'm going to get with my order if so.

Thanks!
