I am thinking about buying a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS Coupe. The car costs around 6,500 and it has 142k miles. Do you think that it is worth it? How many miles can 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse get up to?

yes and no. i have seen a gt for 8-9k with about 90k miles. i dont know what to say about it. 

check ebay...that is going to be your base line for your prices.

I currently own a 2003 Eclipse RS and i bought mine with 48K miles on it for 7,000. I think that you could find a better deal, ecspcially with gas the way it is. Good luck man.
