Looks normal to me.  Leather is a natural material, so it will change a bit.

Cleaning is going to be more important than conditioning since the leather is treated/coated.  dirt will add some wear.  That said, I still like to use a conditioner..mostly because of the smell :)

How "natural" is your "leather" ?
I just noticed mine is more "synthetic" ...

I believe that only the facing (front, center part of seats) is leather and the sides and backs are vinyl/leatherette.  The leather in our vehicles seem to be on the cheap side (very thin), but if taken care of should hold up.

I've never had a problem with any leather seating surfaces in any of my vehicles including dirt as long as i kept up with conditioning.  This beige interior is very light in color and shows every little mark.  I've got some work to do if i want to protect it and keep it clean.

Im so lost with this post. My seat has 12000 miles on it and a year and 3 months use and I havent noticed any signs of wear. I use meguires leather care though. I soaked the seats about 4 times since buying it with the cleaner. I also have a towel I put on my seats. Its a plain all black towel that is on there because I do plumbing work and if I got something on my I dont want it to soak into my seats. When I get done work, I unfold the towel and the head rest holds it in place. When Im not working I fold it back down so if anything is on the towel I dont get it on me. Vicous cycle haha.

You just made my point valid ...regular cleaning/conditioning keeps the seats looking good.  You probably have less wear (cracking/lines) showing on them too.

Using the towel is a good tip for when you are dirty.  I do the same after i've been at the park/fields/trails/gym and am soaked in sweat...keeps the seats dry.

Now on the other extreme, my Father has a new Escape Limited with beige leather seats and he covers them with T-shirts to keep them clean.  He's retired so he's never driving it when he dirty or sweaty.  To me this is like the grandma who covers her living room furniture in plastic.  Sure his seats will look clean and fresh when he removes the coverings in 3-yrs, but what is the point of having leather seats if you are just going to cover them.

Yea he seems alittle paranoid haha. I also use the towel after running at the track or going to the beach or anything that would involve me trying to keep the seats clean. The towel cost me like 5$ and if it gets dirty or ruined I can bet its cheaper to replace than the seat.
