99 Mirage P0120 Code

999mirage -> 99 Mirage P0120 Code (4/29/2008 10:26:20 PM)

Hi, i'm new on this forum and my 99 Mirage 1.5 de coupe has a chronic p0120 trouble code
P0120 Throttle Position circuit.
I've already replaced the TPS sensor, and that didn't change a thing.  The car hesitates when i touch the throttle and at low speeds the throttle cuts out intermittently.  I've seen a lot similar problems... but not sure what to do to fix this.  The spark plugs and air filter are new.
Thanks =)

i dont know mine does it, with no error code and no check engine light on.
when you find out what it is let me know :]]

mine does have 289,000 miles give or take a few hundred miles.
mine may just need a complete rebuild.

is yours a high mileage car??

is it positioned correctly? i had the same problem, ended up having to bite the bullet and take it to a dealer to have them adjust it cuz i couldn't get it quite right. i'd also check your wires, cap & rotor just to be sure.
