Hello All, I Have A 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Rs, i Bought it new in 03 And Now Its 08, And I Have A Problem With It. It Started To Eat Lots Of Gas, Maybe Like 200 Miles To A Full Tank, Before It Used To be Like 350Miles To A Full Tank, I Would Really Appreciate It Someone Can Tell Me What My Problem Could Be!

Check the obvious things first... air filter, air in tires... maybe do a fuel system cleaner or something... THough, that is a big jump.
Or maybe its just one more way that the gas company can **** us, lol. Formulated for LESS MPG.

My 2003 GS has never got 350 miles a tank .... do you drive a standard?

Best I have managed is 275 miles and that is right after my 60,000 maintenance with full syn oil change. I bought it at 55,000 and was getting about 250 miles at the time so the difference was not much after changing the air filter, water pump, tb and oil.

my gts wil get about 350 to a tank on the highway. its possible.

Oh I totally believe you, I was just curious as to what fuel you were using. Its been a while sinse I yelled at anyone for running regular on a motor with high compression pistons.

i had an argument with a buddy of mine about my compressioin being 10:1 and why i use prem.  he looked up the motor and said "sucks that you can turbo it."

i guess sorta won the battle.
