Good Morning!!  Well I did it.  Being a 49 year old analytic, I considered my vehicle requirements (not to be confused with desires but this meets both.... kind of), test drove every conceiveable vehicle in the field, narrowed it down to three (BMW X3, Nissan Rogue, and of course the Outlander), test drove all three some more, and some more...... and some more, AND NOW, placed my deposit on the Outlander!! I pick it up on Wednesday (5/7/08) morning.  The poor salesmen from multiple dealerships got tired of seeing me coming.  But hey, I'm the customer.

The BMW handled the best, but was a bit harsh in the ride quality and a LOT more expensive, the Rogue has nicer interior materials but the styling and audio gear weren't as good as the Outlander (IMHO), so the Outlander it is.  I purchased an '08 Silver/Black Special Edition with the 2.4l and most of the niceties of the XLS.  The only thing I wish it had is NAV.  It does have Rockford Fosgate, Bluetooth, CVT with lockable ratios via shifter or steering column paddles, leather/cloth seats, 18" wheels, extended chrome exterior door sill, trip computer, CD changer, Sirius, AWD, FAST key, 115V in console, and aux in; all for the low low price of $24,150 + TTL.

Anyway, more to come as my experience with the Outlander grows.  I hope it meets my expectations.

Kelvin

Welcome!

There are so many resources at your disposal. There are a bunch of Outlander guys on here that know their stuff in and out, as well as Zontarch who sells cool little addons : )
