I would like to get 20" wheels on my 08 Outlander but it comes with the TPMS already how would I be able to keep the feature with my 20 inch wheels and have the computer work correctly being that it will have larger wheels?

Yeah I understand that much, but the issue is how will it work properly since its gonna be a bigger wheel because the wheels I have now are the 18 inch wheels that come on the XLS. I want to put on 20 inch wheels and tires.

The pressure sensor is in the valve stem.  Just swap the stem to the new rims.

Pressure is pressure, you can always adjust it the way you want it. But your speedometer will be off, so you also need to know by how much, so at least you don't get pulled over when you thought you're doing speed limit.

Just put in the old size vs. new size tire, speed error is included.

It depends on the tire Profile, 20 is the inside diameter, assuming the tire will be a much lower profile than the 55R18, than you could end up with the same ouside diameter or not much bigger.
