so a guy i know wants me to buy his 82 supra.. i guess its aftermarket twin turbo, 80,000 miles on it, 5 spd and the body isnt in too bad of shape, id didnt see much rust at all on it. he's moving to thialand soon so needs to sell the car quick, aka i could probably get it for real cheap. buttt i need a second opinion, im not too sure if i should go for it. any ideas?

I didn't know the older ones were a twin turbo?  Do you have any pics of the car?

Hmmm... pics would determine my decision.

But if I was to say right off the bad, I wouldn't touch it. Even though its a Toyota, its older, and regardless of miles, weathering takes its toll.

why would someone TT an older supra. and why would you want an 82? those things are ugly IMO.

As you wish.

She is 18, and her income is respective of her age. In other words, she isn't making high 5 figures to afford anything extravagant. I assume the previous owner of the car was in a similar situation. Hense why he TT'ed an older Supra.

No need to be a dick about it

I think the answer to that is a given :P

So far I have tracked down, and she has purchased:

o2 housing
Exhaust Manifold
Turbo
Intake
SMIC
All piping
BOV
MAF
A/C Compressor
Both Radiator fans
All 4 Calipers

All this for like... next to nothing.

So really, the only thing now is to put it all together, and thats where you come in lol. I did my part lol.....
