rcostin, how do you reverse the process back to the original? Thank you.

The short answer: Using a CD with the original loading.kwi.
The (slightly) longer answer:  The loading.kwi file has to have a modified header in order to be detected as an update by MMCS'''' loader and to replace the already modified loading.kwi located on hdd.

Is there a way on this forum to send PMs or mail to users ?
Since it is back online it has o lot of strange behaviors.

Hiya,
Trying to help a neighbor with this. I downloaded the file, burned a CD and tried to install.
the screen asks me to enter a key for the update. Can someone help?  I searched the thread and did not find any reference to a key. Help anyone?

Hey Momo323.

All I did was burn the alldata.kwi and the loading.kwi to a cdr and followed the instuctions.   Make sure you are using a CDR and not an RW or DVDR and when you burn the image, make you set it to finalize and not allow more files to burn to the disc.

Updating procedure
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
1. Extract files from archive.
2. Burn the ISO file on a blank, fresh CD (in NERO, Menu -> Recorder -> Burn Image)
3. Start the engine and insert the burned CD into MMCS'' unit
4. Wait for it to check the disk and to start the upgrade procedure. It may take up to a minute do make the checks.
5. Wait for the update procedure to finish. This will take 3 to 5 minutes. At the end the unit will reboot.
6. After start, you will be prompted AGAIN to update. Choose NO, the unit is already updated.
7. Remove the CD.
8. Drive carefully while enjoying your DVD movie

The link for the correct file for the 30.94 is at http://www.deltainfo.ro/manuals/mitsu/outlander/  (thanks to rcostin for that link and postings)

Hi,

Firstly great work to all those invloved with getting the patches to work - awesome stuff!  I also live in Australia and have a March 08 Outlander with the DVD not the HDD (as shown by Hossman).  Has there been any progress on the fix for this setup?  Let me know if you need any info?

Thanks in advance!
