03 galant missing when slowing or stopping - 5/13/2008 11:25:53 AM    speelman   Posts: 5 Joined: 5/13/2008 Status: offline I have a 2003 galant with 170,000 miles on it that is missing/cutting out when it is in gear ie. stopped at a stoplight or stop sign.  Oddly enough, when it is in park it doesn't do it.  It will cut out a little on acceleration, but once i'm above 15-20 mph its fine and doesn't cut out until I come back to a stop.  Any ideas on what could be wrong? RE: 03 galant missing when slowing or stopping - 5/14/2008 6:23:52 AM    speelman   Posts: 5 Joined: 5/13/2008 Status: offline Went to autozone and only two codes came up.  One was misfire in #2 and the other one was from my gascap not being tightened properly.  We just replaced the wires and plugs in it about 3 weeks ago.  Should we replace them again??  Also, I guess they cleared the computer because the ses light went off and hasnt come back on even though its cutting out. I am betting just one of them is loose, or someone didn't tighten a spark plug down enough, or maybe one of the boots on the spark plug wire isn't sitting right on the plug.
