my 2001 montero sport engine went out and i bought an engine from a junkyard. the engine i bought has an engine code of J24, mine has a j20. i cannot find any info on the web about them. does anyone know anything about whether they are compatible? the back of them are visually different, my flywheel pulley appears to stick out further and the j24 doesn't have the bottom part at oil pan that mounts to tranny and starter. thanks for any help.
