I have had this problem before and it is starting again. Car was running fine but when I went to go for lunch it idled funny at start up and then the check engine light came on.

I remember the last two times this happened a screw fell out so I went and poked around the same area and it seems to run fine but the check engine light is still on.

Can someone tell me what this is the arrow is pointing to ...... the screw actually fell out last time.

Go to autozone and find out what check engine code is being thrown.

Do you have any other place where they scan the OBDII for free?

anyauto store like and autozone.   IE pepboys, advanced auto, Napa im sure most of them can do it for you.  othewise any mechanic can as well since that is kind of nessassary to help troubleshoot

Ok they tell me # 1 is missfiring so they figure it is the Coil Pack .......

I have never had so much trouble with a car in my life, hope it ends soon or I will be selling it and going back to a Suzuki Sidekick which I drove for 15 years doing only oil changes, brakes and cpu once.

If its just one cylinder then my bet is simply spark plugs and wires.

I had a full tune up done in January and replaced all the plugs and wires. Even got the expensive plugs to boot.

mis gapped plug or lose pulg I doubt they are bad.  I mean the stock plugs in the 3G are rated to last 60k.  The coil is possible.  Just the FYI the same happend to mine.  car wouldnt start and when it did it missed like a mother,  then ran fine.  got a tune up and all was well mostly but a few odd times the car would start missing again and almost die.   So soe injector cleaner and since all has gone perfect
