so i got a 98 gsx, and when i ordered a new engine since the old 1 got siezed i mistakenly ordered the 1st gen yr 91-94. will that fit in my 2nd gen 95-99 i hope so and if so about how many extra parts will i need to get it sittin right. thanks

Your mistake was a blessing. You bought yourself a '6 bolt'.

Yes they fit, but you need a couple parts.

Google search 6 bolt swap and you should find everyting you need.

Thanks yea it said something about long block, i dont know anything when it comes to engines thats how i guess i came into this situation in the first place

Its all good. You did yourself a favor, believe me. They are much more reliable engines.

Long block just means it has the head with it. Short block just means the bottom end, without the head.

Just remove the space between dsm and tuners, and you are good to go.
