Has anyone installed any aftermarket HIDs? Any suggestion on brand? I don't have the luxury package Xenon HID headlights so I wanted to install them.

There are no full kits out at this moment that I know of other than OEM, just bulbs you can buy off the shelf and put them in your current housing.

The Outlander is not that simple to convert because of the DRL (Dayime Running Lights).
Seems like you can't just "pull out the fuse" either since it's controlled by the ECU.
The 2008 Lancer has the same DRL set-up.

Several good HID kits out there and several options with the DRL.
Here is one link for the DRL.

Some options are:
1-Have the dealer turn off the function at the ECU.
2-Have the HID Store modify the relay harness as mentioned in the above link as Option 1.
(MobileHID.com and V-LEDS.com seem willing to do this, but your HID lights will be on all the time.)
3-Build and install Option 3 as described in the link above.

Retro-Solutions.com and LightWerkz.net also sell good HID kits.

Please find someone you can trust for advice or perform your own research.
A purchase from the wrong company and you could end up with a over-priced but cheap, malfunctioning kit from Asia and little or no return/replacement options.

Make sure that the the aftermarket HID's Light Intensity are 6000K or LESS, otherwise the light looks blueish and it doesn't look original. If you go with 7000K or 10000K its just completelety blue color

I have also a Volvo XC70 and I used 6000K light intensity HID's and it still looks too blue to be original ......... (when look you from opposite direction )

I just bought some Plug & play Kit, you only have to plug the bulb conector in the kit and thats it, just make sure to get it 9006

just $120.00, I know its chinese, but i does the same thing

4600k is the original tone. All the rest are going out to eye sensitivity (>6000k) or insufficient light with reddish tones (<1500k)
