Well last night I decided to do a little modding of my own. Cheap (free) and easy! Since i still haven''t bought an intake of any kind i figured that i would swiss cheese my air box. I haven''t drove it yet because im low on gas and i live kinda far from gas stations but i did start it and rev it and it sounds awsome, sounds like a custom intake but with out the price. i can post pics of it installed later if wanted. i used a inch and 3/4 hole saw bit. drilled i think 6 total holes in the box oposite of the intake tube.

you could have just popped the top off the air box and it would have been the same thing. Its not really gonna do much besides make alittle more noise.

You can also just buy a cone filter at pep boys or something and just replace the air box with that while keeping the stock piping. Thats a pretty cheap mod.

Why bother to swiss cheese it? Just hack the whole damn thing off. Or be like most people.... and just buy an intake?

...asks the kid who can''t even afford a car to even swiss cheese the air box lol... yea man you can just pop the top of the box off, no real need to cut it all up. and if you can get a filter just take the box off and put on the filter, that way you can still keep the stock piping but with a better filter... either that or make an intake out of pvc pipe, thats what my friend did with his 4cyl mustang cause they dont make ''em for that i guess haha... jk dont actually do that
