I am interested in upgrading my ingition system. What do I need?? I plan for 400whp. I don''t know what I need so if you can help, what EXACTLY do I need/ or should get???

400whp thats like 500hp. I am getting alot of blow by. I just want to know what kind to get.

Stock is fine. If you really are going that way, then go with a COP (coil over plug). Blow by, eh. What''''s that have to do with the ignition system? Do you know what happens when your motor experiences blow-by?

Not really, but I have read that with bad ignition you can experience more blowby.

Blow by is when chamber gases pass by worn rings and go into the block. Most blow by cases for DSMs is the oil level dip stick pops out and you get oil spewed all over the engine bay. Blow by is caused by worn or loose piston rings.

You might want to do a compression test to see what shape your engine is in.

And stock should be fine but cop has a much cleaner look.
