hi, i resently got another amp to power my 4 speakers, ive had many neons in the car for a long time (under the seats/in the dash/above the floormats) once i hooked up the amp everytime i turn on a neon there is a strong buzzing sound. Does anyone no how to troubleshoot this?

are your neons going through the amp?

Sounds like either a ground loop or you''ve somewhere crossed a mid/high current power wire with an audio signal wire. Check your ground for both the amplifer and the neon, and take a look at how you''ve routed the switched power for the neons. If the power wire is withing 18" of an RCA wire for the 4ch amp, move it out of the way. If you can''t get around crossing the wires (say they must cross at some point because of the mounting locations), cross the wires at a 90 degree angle to allow the least amount of interacting surface space for either wire. This should resolve the issue. If not, pull the neons out and get your amp running correctly, then work the neons and their wiring around the amplifer wiring. Just my $0.02

thats what i was thinking... if anything wire the two seperate, then you should not have any problems

ya, you shouldn''t wire neons to an amp if that''s what you''ve done. separate power sources and ground locations are the way to go. good luck
