You might want to elaborate on that... how does the overdrive clutch housing cause a slipping condition?  I can see the overdrive piston seal being damaged or the clutches being worn to crap.

Reply to manybrews I think its the syncronizers for second gear my sons been power shifting it and the clutch disc has completly gone south the car wount even move now, so Im just going to put anonther tranny in and a new clutch kit then if it gets torn out again well I guess my boy will be hoofin it for awhile anyway forgot to tell you that the trans just grinds going into second gear and I did get my son to fess up to powershifting ,  really its about him owning up to the truth,   Im going to help him one time after that hes on his own, the truth mean everything to me since he told me I have to forgive him It will be good learning for us both .

Dude you gotta start your own thread, we are talking abt an auto trans conern.  Your making it very confusing.

the seals dont seal well, causing a bleeding of pressure and a flare, double, or violent shift.

Well that makes sense, I guess thats a common problem.
