I really need to know if there is any possible way to make a 7 bolt auto tranny to work with a six bolt engine (non-turbo 2.0 4G63).... i was told i might just be able to change the torque converter in the tranny and it should work but i need to no for sure!!!!!!! any help would be great!!!!!

I''m not 100% sure but if you have a 1g, a 2g auto trans will not fit, the torque coverter is bigger in a 2g and the 2g trans is bigger.  I''ll look around and see if I can find any info on that.

This guy made an adapter kit to fit a 2g auto trans in a 1g so guess it can be done

Well man the car is a 1G..... but its a 93 which the 93 & 94 both had 7 bolt engines... mine blew and now i have a 6 bolt engine from a 91.... i need to know if that 6 bolt engine will bolt up and work with my 7 bolt tranny.... like i said someone said i may just have to change the torque converter

Oh duh sry I thought you were trying to put a 2g trans in your 1g lol.  Try calling a mitsu dealer and see if the 1g 6 bolt and 7 bolt''s have the same part # torque converter.

well i already know that the 6 bolt motor wont go into the 7 bolt torque converter....... but what i want to now is if i can just put the 6 bolt T.C. in to my 7 bolt tranny

i also know that the TC''s part # for the 6 bolt and the 7 bolt ARE different but i was told the only difference is where the crank goes into the TC''s the 6 bolt''s hole is a lil deeper for the 6 bolt engine crank shaft is longer than the 7 bolt
