There is a new OEM accessory available: Outlander Protective Film (p/n: AUT07YXX01) for about $50. Does anyone know how it looks like? I confirmed it exists, but the dealer wouldn''''t know how it looks like. It''''s a clear film for the rear doors to address the chipping issue, but I''''m interested to know the shape of this film and the exact area it covers. BTW: I just installed the OEM black Bumper Protector Foil (Euro accessory) and it looks just fine. For about $35 it''s just what I was looking for.

Over the weekend I touched up the paint chips on my Outie using the Langka product. It came out pretty good. You have to bend down and look for the imperfections. Today I took the car to a 3M shop to get an estimate to cover the rear door flares with protective film. I was quoted $30CAD+tax each side. Cheaper than the OEM kit I posted above (which I don''''t know how it looks). The installer also suggested removing the OEM film and applying one piece instead of adding to the existing patch. I said yes so my car is going in tomorrow for the work. I''''ll let you know how it came out. Once this is done, I''''ll install the ROAR door side garnish. I''''ll post pictures of the car when everything is done.
