My friend is getting a 1995 Eclipse GS and is going to have me build a sub box for it and I need to know how wide it is just behind the seat so I can start planning now and have it for her sooner.

Thanks.

GS eclipse would be the saem trunk space as a GS Syder correct, let me go check my trunk... 2 feet 2 inches from back seats to truck, 2 and a half feet across, heres the fun part ... not even a foot high of clearance more like 8 inches if that. But if u remove the carpeted panel you may have over a foot.

those may be the correct dims for a spyder, let me measure my GS hatchback... ok try to follow me here, i have a lot of dims. ok looking from the back seat at the floor it goes like this... it starts out with the widest point at 48'', then closes in b/c of the wheel wells to 38'', then widens back up to 41''. then dims from top to bottom... the lowest point (being in the very back) is 18 1/2", at 5'' on the glass it's 22 1/2'', at 14'' from the glass to the bottom (the tallest point) it's 25 1/2'', then it shortens back to 23''. hope you can picture all that in your head or just check out the car and you'll get it, now keep in mind that this is with all of the pannels and tire cover. after taking these out you may get up to a foot of extra room in either direction. hope this helps.
