Hey guys I''m kinda new to Mitsubishi''s so i figured I could find some help on here.  I have a 03 V6 Spyder with a blown motor..... is it possible to bolt in (for the most part) a motor from a 98 3000GT VR4 with little or no problems?

I don''t think so, not without some unknown work.

i don think you can use the 3000gt motor, especially not the vr4 since it will have internals for forced induction. But if you need a replacement you may want to look into a dodge stratus as well as other eclipses

Both are true but dont forget it is 180degrees opposed between the 2.  they are the same engine code but they are not really the same at all.  No you cant swap them.

BUT you can find cheap replacements in stratus RT, Galant GTZ and v6 3.0L versions.  They all share the same motor

well it might be easier to find the stuff if you spell them correct, haha JK

But its Apexi SAFC (you can get these anywhere, ebay is a good start, or www.dsmtrader.com)
and AEM UEGO Wideband 02 gauge. (once again you can get these just about anywhere)

Now i must ask..why do you think you need any of these?

I kinda figured i was spelling everything wrong but i''m just curious and looking into some options.....    my original question about swapping with the 3000GT - what if i changed the complete set-up. computer, wiring harness, etc. everything. (if i''m not mistaken the tranny will bolt up.) ???   is everyone saying it won''t work because of how much of a pain in the a$$ it would be or what? EMonz57 says no altogether, but Sebba makes me think its possible but just to be aware of how much work it could be

word of advise on this matter.  sebba owns no car and never has owned a car.  I have owed 3 of these eclipses alone.  I had a 2000 GS, a 2002 GT spyder and I still have a 2001 GT spyder, and I had an Evo that I sold for my supra.... trust me when I tell you you can not swap in a VR4 motor.

You can however swap in the diamonte 3.5L motor but whats the point a small amount of power and Tq and all that work.
