2002 Spyder GT Transmisson - 7/17/2005 8:26:41 PM    tmparsons02   Posts: 2 Score: 0 Joined: 7/17/2005 Status: offline Recently, my manual transmission went out completely. My extended warranty covered the replacement, but I had to have the clutch replaced also. The car only had 36000 on it, and 80% was all highway. I have been the only owner and really baby the car. Anyway has anyone else had this problem? Would like to know if others have had to replace the tranny and also. Is there a better transmission out there that would not be so notchy etc...... RE: 2002 Spyder GT Transmisson - 7/17/2005 8:54:36 PM    EMonz57 Posts: 11566 Score: 0 Joined: 5/13/2005 Status: online Is this your 1st manual tranny car? cause I have had 2 3G eclipses a 2000 GS and a 2002 GT spyder both never had a tranny problem and I have been a member on all the 3Gforums since day 1 and never read about any other people haveing tranny issues. at such low miles as well. My GS had 102,000 miles on it and tranny was fine even though the car was beat.
