Hi, I am new here and am looking at purchasing a 2g gs t or gs x.  Wondering if there are any common problems with the 2g''''s or gs t/x''''s that i should look out for. Tranny? clutch? even minor things

do a search on google for crankwalk...better yet read this
http://www.magnusmotorsports.com/tech/crankwalk.htm

Also just try and search for this stuff because it has been discussed over and over. But look at it this way, you are buying a 10-15 year old car...there is gonna be problems. But as far as factory defects, its really just crankwalk (which some say is a myth) and a ball joint

dont let reading about how these engines crankwalk discrouage you from buying one. most of the engines that will, would have by now. but if you dont want to deal with it, just look for a GST/X with a 6-bolt swap already done.

this damn posting issue is pissing me off. I had an entire thing written and lost it. In short...dont let the article discourage you from getting one

and 6 bolt swap simply means to swap the motor to one from a 1990-1992.5 eclipse. And the bolt means the # of bolts on the flywheel
