try and fight it i guess. But by law you are not allowed to make your exhaust over a curtian decible level (so ive heard) and its definetly even worse in CA. So get used to it. Im surprised youve never heard anything about it.

not only the DB level but in Ca looks as in shine and size are into it as well.  that is why there is a rare exhaust out there called stealth black.  They had them for the Evos it was a darkish brownish black color and really quiet for aftermarket

Go to their website, and email them asking about carb legal (if you can''''t find it on their website), then take the ticket to court and present the carb number, and it will be dropped.

Seb most exhaust say street legal but they are not.  exhaust cant look visually modified.  can not sound amplified at all and should be under a certain DB.   I have been through this over and over again.  The easiest way to figure out is look up the inspection emmisions requirements for the state.  Cali allows a FMIC but piping must be black not polished they are crazy in cali there is a huge list of BS that doesnt pass 90% of it is visual,  a car CAN NOT look visually modified

Every state is differant. The street ligal mufflers normaly say 95 or 96 dbs. All states are differant. For me the law is you can not do any thing to the stock exhaust. Which meens dont run a fart can cause cops know it dont look any thing like stock. And if you have papers saying you exhaust is only so loud and is not over the db limit for your state you could pass. I think its stupid how you can get a exhaust fine with out the cop even doing a db test on your car.
