I bought my '99 3000gt for a little more than I should have, but I bought the first 3000gt that came my way (and I lucked out and got a '99...) but unfortunatly I bought a base model. I didn't know the difference at the time between the different models.... I mean hell, I thought that the 3kgt was a rear wheel drive car until I looked at it to buy it. That is a common mistake for a lot of people. You can go to my cardomain site to see my car.

sounds like me too only mine was an SL...not much difference though

That's not true at all! If you want your car to go fast, you have to have an SL due to the DOHC engine. There is nothing out there for a SOHC engine except for a supercharger, but you would be RETARDED to spend $3500-4000 for 150 hp. I bought a supra for $100. I want speed and that is what I am going to use to get it. Money to power ratio. That's all I care about right now.

Um.......in 99 there was a huge difference between the three models, and not just options-wise.
The base model was sporting a 161 HP engine, while the SL stayed around the same, dropping 4 to 218 HP actually, and of course the VR-4 pumping out the usual 320 HP. There was a HUGE difference.

Well if you don't believe me, www.intellichoice.com that is where I got it from, while researching the 3000GT. Maybe they are wrong, but I don't think so.

The reason these threads stay open (TheEngineer) is because silvertooth and his friends are lifeguards they bring dead threads back to life.
