hi. My oil indicator is flashing. It happens only when the engine is hot and when the engine speed is less than 1000 RPM. So, when I start my Galant 2001 in the morning, the light doesnt show on for about 20 minuts. After that it starts flashing, when I drive slowly, or come to a full stop. If I start driving faster, the flashing disappears. What's going on? Is it serious? I will appreciate any information. Thanx.

First things is start simple.... Do you have enough oil? When was the last time you changed the oil? Check the oil filter to see if it is leaking.

Thank you. I've changed oil and filter. Did not help. It`s still flashing. What else could be wrong?

Well if you changed the oil like today and still have the problem I am going to say a loose connection in the sensor. Are you throwing any engine codes?

Yes, it was the oil switch. It costed me just 40 bucks. Thank you, everybody!
