Does anybody know what could be causing the A/C in my ''94 Eclipse to go in and out between cold and warm? It happens very randomly; some days it doesn''t happen at all; some times it''''s cold for a half hour then cuts in and out; some times it''s just back and forth every five or ten minutes; some days it doesn''t even come out cold at all.
I had the condenser replaced and the system charged about two months ago and when it  blows cold, it blows ICE COLD, so it does work.
Could it be a relay? If so, which one?
  Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

Your probably low on charge.  When it does it is the ac clutch cycle fast?

Another thing does the ac fan come on?

What do you mean by the AC clutch "cycling fast"? If you mean that it makes the engine rev high, then  the answer is "yes". And the AC fan does come on.
Would a low charge make it go suddenly warm and then suddenly cold again?
Thanks for your help

Take a look at the ac compressor, the clutch is what will cycle on and off.  W/ the ac on its should stay on for the most part and when its low it will cycle fast l ike every 15-20 seconds.

Thanks for the help dsm1990gsx!! What it turned out to be was that the wiring harness had a frayed wire so that the clutch wasn''t cycling and the compressor was only going on sporatically, I guess when the wire was positioned in such a way that it made a connection. Anyway, the wire was spliced, reconnected, and the AC now works fine. Thanks again for your help!
